Jharkhand hosts 14th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship

The 14th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship 2024 is taking place from September 30 September to October 10, 2024, at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh AstroTurf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The tournament features 26 teams from eight pools, with a series of matches leading up to the finals. The championship is a crucial platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and gain experience in high-level competition while identifying and nurturing grassroots talent for the future of Indian hockey.

Pool A: Hockey Madhya Pradesh, Hockey Uttarakhand, Kerala Hockey
Pool B: Hockey Jharkhand, Hockey Rajasthan, Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu
Pool C: Assam Hockey, Hockey Haryana, Manipur Hockey
Pool D: Chhattisgarh Hockey, Delhi Hockey, Le Puducherry Hockey
Pool E: Hockey Association of Odisha, Hockey Bengal, Hockey Bihar
Pool F: Hockey Andhra Pradesh, Hockey Jammu & Kashmir, Hockey Punjab
Pool G: Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey, Hockey Arunachal, Hockey Chandigarh, Hockey Maharashtra
Pool H: Hockey Gujarat, Hockey Himachal, Hockey Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh Hockey

Quarter-Finals: October 7, 2024
Semi-Finals: October 9, 2024
Finals: October 10, 2024
Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey and Secretary General Shri Bhola Nath Singh promoted the Junior Women National Championship to develop grassroots hockey talent. Tirkey believes the tournament helps young athletes showcase their skills and gain experience in top-level tournaments, benefiting their sporting careers. Singh hopes the tournament will succeed and wishes all participants good luck.
