iSono Health team, led by Maryam Ziaei, win the Arab Health Innov8 competition

The world's first AI-driven mobile and machine-replaced 3D breast ultrasound scanner, iSono Health, has won this year's Arab Health Innov8 competition and a cash prize of $10,000 after a rigorous week of results in which a total of 24 different businesses pitched over the introduction three days of Arab Health.

In order to avoid, monitor, manage, and treat burnout in real time, Fitmedik, a one-stop shop for health systems, Lazarus 3D, a company that uses advanced image analysis and 3D printing to create precise physical duplicates of patients' organs, Robot Dreams, an AI-based programme with a patent filed for the diagnosis of cardiovascular disorders, and Sky Medical Technology's Geko gadget, which is worn at the knee and improves venous artery and marrow circulation, are two examples of innovative AI-based programmes.

The iSono Health ATUSA scanner automatically captures the entire breast volume, allowing for reliable point-of-care breast ultrasound imaging without the need for a trained ultrasound technician. With access to cutting-edge 3D visualisation thanks to ATUSA's exclusive scan method, clinicians can monitor and diagnose patients with more assurance. The distribution of its ATUSA scanner in the first 31 countries of the Global South will be made possible thanks to a partnership between iSono Health and Abdul Latif Jameel Health, which was revealed this week at Arab Health.

According to Maryam Ziaei, Ph.D., Founder and CEO of iSono Health, "We are transforming breast cancer screening by fusing automated ultrasound and artificial intelligence (AI) to give women and doctors access to personalised breast health monitoring."

With its straightforward user interface and wearable technology from ATUSA, image capturing is rapid, easy, and comfortable. Thanks to scans, which only take 2 minutes per breast, breast imaging has now become convenient and comfortable for both the patient and the practitioner.

The technique ensures consistent accuracy on par with the best ultrasound specialists through complete 3D scanning and lesion localisation. The gadget is speedy, delivering highly autonomous and hands-free scans in two minutes, 10-15 times faster than conventional probing, and produces expert results at the point of therapy without the requirement for a qualified ultrasound operator.

The well-known financiers, entrepreneurs, and medical professionals who served on the judging panel included Supreet Manchanda, General Partner Raiven Capital, Dr. Maria Ibrahim, Head of Regulatory Affairs & Startups IROS CRO UAE, Dr. Omar Najim, Manager, Executive Affairs Office, DoH, and Ahmed Osman, Associate Partner, McKinsey & Company UAE.

The final day of Arab Health was successfully wrapped up with the new incarnation of the Future Health Summit, which allegedly took place from 11 am to 2 pm at the Museum of the Future. With an emphasis on AI and robotics and their impact on how the healthcare industry is growing, the invitation-only, fully immersive event for C-suite executives in the healthcare industry explored the prospects for the future of health and healthcare in the Metaverse.

Renowned business futurists, metaverse experts, writers, and futurists were present. The first augmented reality spinal surgery was carried out by Dr. Timothy F. Witham, Professor of Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic Surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, who will also speak about healthcare in the Metaverse in the future.

To discuss the Metaverse and the impending technological shift, he was joined by Dr. Daniel Kraft, a physician-scientist, innovator, and the founder and chair of NextMed Health. Other speakers were Francesco Redivo, Senior Director of Business at G42 Healthcare, Bader Al Qubaisi, Chief Executive Officer of Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Shaker Zainal, Chief mSMEs Officer of Emirates Development Bank.

To ensure that the conversation was at the highest level, the Qatar Foundation, the Ministry of Health Oman, and several CEOs of top UAE and international hospitals and investment firms joined together well above the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Dubai Health Authority, and the Department of Health.

According to Ross Williams, Exhibition Director at Informa Markets, Arab Health was a huge success. Excellent attendance levels and the closing of several important agreements have both been observed. The UAE once again showed that it does not control the majority of the world's healthcare resources.
