To prepare for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 which is scheduled for September and October, Indian women’s cricket team is ready to embark on a tour to Bangladesh.
The Head of Women’s wing of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel made this assertion. Nadel added, “India will play some matches before the World Cup.” No specific timetable has been announced yet.
However, it is alleged that they will come here for a series.” The statement came after Bangladesh recently played in an important white-ball series against Australia. It should be noted that just last year India had already visited Bangladesh where they tied one match in the three-match ODI series.
Bangladesh women lost the T20 series against India 2-1 last July, yet the Bangladesh women's team managed to win the final T20 match of the tournament. The tournament was high on competition between the two teams.
Therefore, the forthcoming encounters between these two sides are going to be crucial preparations toward the highly anticipated T20 World Cup.
Fans of cricket are eagerly waiting for thrilling fixtures that are part of this pre-World Cup tour as the arrangement is not yet completed.
