The interest of Indian youth in investigating career options in the Web3.0 market has been revealed by new findings from the global survey report "Journey into Web3," which was released by KuCoin, a global cryptocurrency exchange.
According to the survey, more than 40% of Web 3.0 experts in India expressed interest in working in the metaverse, non-fungible token (NFT), and blockchain-based gaming industries, outpacing the global average. According to survey findings, 72% of Web3.0 professionals in India are happy with their work and recognise the benefits of the sector, including development, innovation, and improved welfare.
In addition, 60% of the users from India who participated in the poll but have never worked for Web3.0 are curious about the field of work because it offers prospects for professional progress and a superior benefits package. Furthermore, over 45% of professionals who are interested in Web3.0 have shown a desire to work in India for positions in marketing, research, and strategy.
The results of the poll show that 30% of Indians believe that women contribute to the Web3.0 workplace by using strategies and long-term thinking in their work. According to 34% of respondents, there aren't enough women-led networks in the Web 3.0 area, and there aren't enough resources for learning about Web 3.0 (31%) or keeping up with industry changes (26%). Furthermore, 25% believe that women are concerned about the hazards and instability in the Web 3.0 sector.
According to Johnny Lyu, CEO of KuCoin, the exchange conducted this global study to learn more about how young people in India have expressed interest in the blockchain and metaverse as possible job paths. The results of our “Journey into Web3” poll has also shown that women in India have a future in Web3.0 with interests from a talent pool. In the future, we anticipate seeing more Indians including women joining the Web3.0 space, which will strengthen India’s whole Web3.0 ecosystem,” he added.
