- India's first integrated startup-investor marketplace and entrepreneurial reality show, Ideabaaz, was launched at the NSE in Mumbai
- The platform will empower women entrepreneurs, enabling small ideas to become scalable businesses
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India hosted the launch of Ideabaaz recently, India's first integrated startup-investor marketplace and entrepreneurial reality show, with the objective of empowering women entrepreneurs.
The platform has been created to develop small ideas, particularly those started by women, into scalable businesses.
The launch, led by NSE MD & CEO Ashishkumar Chauhan, gathered business leaders, venture capitalists, startup entrepreneurs, and dignitaries under one roof and shed light on increasing focus on women entrepreneurship in India.
Perhaps the most significant aspect of Ideabaaz is its emphasis on mentorship, with experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders mentoring participants in addition to investment.
The mentors assist women in navigating regulation issues, formulating business models, and expanding operations, establishing a bridge of utmost significance between idea and action.
Networking opportunities are also provided highest priority in the program, getting founders to interact with investors and industry leaders.
These interactions are structured to stimulate collaboration, information-exchange, and growth among women entrepreneurs in India.
To develop startup opportunities for sustainable economic empowerment in a strong ecosystem, Ideabaaz identifies investor connections, mentoring, professional services, and open monitoring, takes a special interest in women founders from emerging cities and towns, and seeks to support high-growth founders and offer better access to capital, mentorship, and opportunity that may have been unavailable.
The platform also allows women founders to pitch individually to investors, promoting merit-based capital and rewarding talent, potential, innovation, and execution. "I welcome the growth of India's startup ecosystem and the need to match capital with mentorship," said Archana Jahagirdar, founder of Rukam Capital.
Ideabaaz positions the NSE as a platform for women's ideas, as a place where Indian women entrepreneurs can share their vision, access resources, and be part of the entrepreneurial growth in India.
