India At Beauty Pageants: Only Country To Win Most Miss World Titles

Beauty Pageant Award Titles are the oldest running International contest and was started in United Kingdom by Eric Morley I the 1951. As the famous phrase goes, “beauty is in the eyes of the beholder”. When the entire world accepts that an individual is attractive, then that definitely is a big achievement. There are many women in the world winning International beauty pageants title. Miss World winners from India pull the title maximum among the entire world. Grace, elegance and poise setting standards are the best features of Indian beauty queens.

 People guess that getting the title of Miss World Title is all about glamour and looks but its more about an sharp brain with an compassionate heart. The Miss World beauty pageant contest was at first termed as a contest of Britain and afterwards, Eric Morley decided to have it internationally.

Here's a list of the Miss World winners from India            

Reita Faria: She is the first woman in India to win then crown of Miss World Beauty Pageant in the year 1966. She was also awarded for the titles Best in Evening wear and Best in Swimsuit. She was a medical student when she successfully achieved the title of best beauty pageants. She got many offers from the film industry after the title but she was focused in her medical career and did not receive the offers. She received her MBBS degree from Mumbai and shifted to London to complete her post graduation from the King’s College Hospital.

Aishwarya Rai: After a huge space of 28 years, India succeeded in achieving the title of Miss World. This title was achieved by Aishwarya Rai and she started her career as a model when she was in college and also screened in several commercial sets. She participated in the contest of Miss India and was the runner up and then she represented India in the Miss World contest and won the award. After her title she started her career in the film industry and made her debut in Tamil. Later she married Abhishek Bachchan, who is a famous film actor.

Diana Hayden: She was titled Miss World in the year 1997 and was successful in film industry for a long time. In 2003, her first Bollywood film Tehzeeb was released and also participated in a television reality show n the year 2008.

Yukta Mookhey: She won the title in the year 1999 and she is from Bangalore. She has a degree in Zoology and also a diploma in Computer Science.

Priyanka Chopra: She crowned the title of Miss World in 2000 and this was just a year after Yukta Mookhey won the title. After the title she started her career in Bollywood and she is one of the famous actors of today. She has not only made her career in Indian film industry but also displayed her talent in Hollywood film in 2017. She has received many awards and recognition for her film career.

Manushi Chhillar: She achieved the crown in 2017 after a long gap of seventeen years. She is a medical student and will soon appear in the commercial industry in the coming years. She was twenty years old when she received the title of Miss World.

Thus India is the only leading country in the entire world to win the most Miss World titles.
