IKEA Appoints Alejandra Pinol as CHRO

- Ingka Group Appoints Alejandra Piñol as Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) Global People & Culture Manager
- Piñol shall spearhead the international People & Culture efforts for all regions globally at IKEA
Alejandra Piñol was appointed by Ingka Group, the largest retailer of Ikea-branded furniture, to the post of CHRO and Global People & Culture Manager from the beginning of 2026,
Shee will head the international People and Culture strategy for IKEA, which entails leading, as well as the cultural aspects, of human-centric growth for performance.
In terms of background, Alejandra brings 14+ years of experience within the IKEA system and has held senior leadership roles across different regions. Her previous roles have included CHRO for IKEA China and Deputy CHRO for Ingka Group.
In her statement made on LinkedIn, Alejandra said she felt fortunate to be able to contribute to the vision of "creating a better everyday life for the many people" envisioned in the IKEA organization. She explained the importance of people in the IKEA culture and success, as well as her determination and kindness in carrying on the good work of the company.
Alejandra will take over the role currently held by Ulrika Biesèrt, while the latter shifts to a new role as Global People, Sustainability & Communication Manager at Ingka Group.
This is a testament to their ongoing focus on integrating people and culture into their global strategy in light of an ever-changing business environment.
