68 women from the minority community have been empowered by Hyderabad's renowned WeHub initiative to become ready to enter the business arena. As part of the "Ujaagar" project, which was carried out in collaboration with Safa India, these ambitious women finished an intense training session and obtained their business formalization certifications at WeHub.
These emerging business owners received training that gave them the fundamental knowledge and abilities needed to operate a profitable company. The curriculum addressed a range of topics including, Statutory compliances, Customer service, Packaging and branding, Marketing strategies, Financial management, and Launching a business.
The startups that developed out of this effort were in several industries:
Service industry: 33 startups have been included in this group.
Textile industry: 22 new businesses are involved in this sector.
In Hyderabad, the entrepreneurial spirit was evident in Charminar, Rajendranagar, Bandlaguda, Dabeerpura, and Jalpally, among other neighborhoods. Shabana Banu, an inspirational participant, talked about her experience. She decided to relaunch the company she had been running since 2008. After seeing success with her millet-based Dum Ka Roat cookies, she now hopes to launch "Victual Besto Food" as a cloud kitchen for Ramzan.
The project, lasting 1,224 hours, aimed to prepare women for entrepreneurship, with two participants namely Shabana and Kaneez E Butool, receiving market linkage support and another candidate Anjum, securing credit linkage through the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Program.
