Haryana Women to receive Rs 3 lakh Loans under Haryana Matriskati Uyamita Yojana

Haryana women are to receive loans up to Rs 3 lakh in their bank accounts under the Haryana Matriskati Uyamita Yojana. The Deputy Commissioner of Haryana, Dr Yash Garg mentioned the aim of making rural and urban women of Haryana independent and improving their social and economic status through the Haryana Mahila Vikas Nigam implemented by the Haryana Government.

The Haryana Matriskati Uyamita Yojana scheme will empower women entrepreneurs to start and run small businesses such as salons, tailoring shops, pickle or handicrafts making, drive auto-rickshaws, or open a Xerox shop. The scheme has a target of offering loans covering 40 beneficiaries in the Panchkula district. It is designed to make women feel worthy, self-reliant, and earn a living.

The eligibility criteria to apply for the loan scheme are as follows:

  • Women domiciled in Haryana can apply for the loan.
  • The applicant's family income should be or under Rs. 5 lakh per annum, as per Parivar Pehchan Patra data.
  • The applicant woman's age should be between 18 years to 60 years.
  • The woman should not have any previous loan running.
  • They can avail up to Rs 3 lakh loan under the scheme.
  • For a span of 3 years, the Haryana Women Development Corporation will offer a 7 per cent interest subsidy on paying timely installments to the beneficiaries.
  • Interested applicants can submit their applications through the Haryana Mahila Vikas Nigam.
  • After verifications of the applicants, the loans will be approved and disbursed to their bank accounts at a fixed time.
  • Beneficiaries can use the loan amount for their entrepreneurial ventures included in the Industries Department and KVIB except for negative activities.
