Haryana CM Saini inaugurates 131 Mahila Sanskritik Kendras on Teej Festival

Attending a state-level function held in Ambala, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated 131 Mahila Sanskritik Kendras during the Teej festival on Monday. These cultural centres aim to empower women through community engagement, arts, and tradition. They will host bhajans, dances, and devotional performances, providing a space for cultural events and programming.

Haryana CM Saini further inaugurated nine developmental projects worth Rs 73 crore in Ambala, highlighting the success of the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign. The campaign has seen an improvement in the sex ratio from 871 to 906, and a "Lado Sakhi Yojana" has been launched to support pregnant women. The Anganwadi, Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA), and Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM) will be referred to as Lado Sakhis, who will support pregnant women and receive Rs 1,000 for every girl child born under their care.

CM Saini praised women in startups and highlighted government financial assistance for women. The Haryana Startups Policy will benefit 50 per cent of women, support ethnic textiles, eco-friendly crafts, Ayurveda wellness, and local food products financing from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh. Additionally, 10,000 DIY kits and mentorship will be distributed to schoolgirls. The Mahila Udyamita Manch, along with NITI Aayog, will mentor, train, and guide women entrepreneurs for market access.
