On the occasion of Women's Day, officials announced that the Greater Noida administration, in collaboration with two private organisations, will organise a two-month training programme for women beginning in April. Nearly 250 women will be trained and assisted in seeking work in electronics businesses in the first phase, which will be divided into five groups. In addition, a talent training expo will be held on March 22.
Following a discussion with Aadhar Housing Finance and the Y4D organisation, CEO Narendra Bhushan decided to use Aadhar Housing Finance's CSR (corporate social responsibility) funding for the training programme and skill training fair. The training centre will be based at NIMT College, and participants will have access to a hostel during the programme.
In the meantime, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has begun planning to build a sophisticated skill development centre in IITGNL's integrated industrial complex. IITGNL (Integrated Industrial Township Greater Noida Limited), NICDC (National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation), and NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) will collaborate at the centre to educate local youngsters in a variety of occupations in response to business demands.
The centre will collaborate with IITGNL on research projects, while NSDC will provide technical assistance. Officials claimed comparable world-class skill development centres are being planned in all of the states along the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor.
