GOADH Foundation Launches Campaign Against Female Foeticide

- GOADH Foundation launched the national awareness campaign against female foeticide in New Delhi

- Attendees included distinguished guests, social activists, and NGO representatives
GOADH Foundation's National Awareness Campaign to Stop Female Foeticide was launched on December 3, 2023, at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar International Centre, Janpath, in New Delhi, with the presence of eminent guests, including social activists and representatives of various NGOs from all over India.
The Hon’ble Chairperson of GOADH Foundation, MP Rajya Sabha Chief Guest, Mamata Mohanta addressed the gathering on Women's Dignity, Safety of Daughter Child, Right for Equal Rights, etc.
Mamata also indicated that the foundation is now starting a National Mission to Prevent Female Foeticide, Save Girl Children & Lead to Gender Equality. The Foundation's vision is to educate and to give each Daughter Respect and the ability to be Self-Sufficient through Equal Opportunities. Additionally, the Foundation's goal is to conduct awareness programs throughout India to support and empower Girl Children.
The gathering was attended by several dignitaries like Mamata Mohanta, MP (Rajya Sabha) and Chairperson, GOADH Foundation; Poongulati Sudhakar Reddy, BJP National Co-incharge for Tamil Nadu and Karnataka; P. Balaram Naik, MP (Lok Sabha); Dhullu Mahto, MP from Dhanbad; Dr. Geeta Singh, Director at Delhi University; Ashlesha Reddy, entrepreneur; and Kalicharan Singh, MP from Chatra, amongst a large attendance of social workers and NGO representatives.
It included launching the national awareness campaign against female foeticide, a mass pledge on ensuring safety and equal rights for daughters, and announcements on outreach programs in schools and colleges and on broader mass-awareness programs.
Commitments to collaborate with social organizations, youth groups, and community networks were also highlighted. Mamata explained that the Foundation intends to extend its campaign into every community within India.
According to Venkata K. Ganjam, General Secretary of the Foundation, support from various government agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and through youth organizations will further strengthen the Foundation's initiative.
The GOADH Foundation was established by Peace Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Nizamuddin, who was looking to raise awareness on the Rights of Women and Girls, their Safety, Empowerment. The GOADH Foundation wants to create Social Change through raising Awareness in the form of Educational Programs, and through Community Engagement.
