GIFT City Launches Women in Fintech Accelerator Program

GIFT City has announced the debut of the Women in Fintech Accelerator under the GIFT International Fintech Innovation Hub (GIFT IFIH). This new initiative is intended to facilitate and enhance the participation and success of women-led Fintech companies within India's International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) ecosystem.

The accelerator acts as an investment readiness program designed to help develop overall business improve the chances of obtaining institutional funding from financial institutions, support a sustainable scaling and success of start-up businesses.

The program will take place in a hybrid format – participants will begin with a one-week in-person immersion program at GIFT City focused on being "Investment-Ready."

After completing the in-person immersion, they will have access to a online program providing curated virtual engagements with investors relevant to their developmental stage and financing needs.

Participants also will have access to structured mentoring, investor matches, and other interactions with capital providers in order to further develop and ultimately gain better access to Institutional Investment in Women-led Fintech businesses.

GIFT IFIH is also working to create and deliver innovative Fintech programs through a variety of different partnerships. GIFT IFIH has supported 37 Fintech start-ups, many of which have been associated with digital banking and regulatory technology (RegTech) over the last 12 months.
