From Leaders to Cricket Fraternity, Praises Pour in for Indian Women's U19 WC Win

The cricket fraternity celebrated Team India's victory in the Women's U19 T20 World Cup 2025. India defended its title with a dominant 9-wicket win against South Africa. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders, praised the team's excellent teamwork, determination, and grit. The South African team faced a defeating match, while India celebrated its total supremacy.
PM Modi wrote on his social media handle X "Immensely proud of our Nari Shakti! Congratulations to the Indian team for emerging victorious in the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025. This victory is the result of our excellent teamwork as well as determination and grit. It will inspire several upcoming athletes. My best wishes to the team for their future endeavors."
Further, West Bengal CM, Mamata Banerjee wrote "Heartiest congratulations to the U19 Women Indian Cricket Team for winning the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025. Girls, you have made us really proud! Entire nation will rejoice in your glorious victory! I wish you all the best for the future. Jai Hind."
Along with the political leaders, the cricket fraternity is also overjoyed with the victory. The BCCI along with renowned cricketers praised the Indian Women's U19 team for their World Cup Win.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) mentioned "A second straight World Cup triumph speaks volumes about India's depth of talent. Be it pay parity under Mr. Jay Shah's tenure, the TATA WPL, or a strong age-group structure, the Board remains fully committed to ensuring that Indian cricket continues to thrive at all levels. India is proud of our World Champions."
The Women's U19 T20 World Cup 2025 finals were held on Sunday at the Bayuemas Oval in Malaysia. India restricted South Africa to 82 runs in the first innings, while their top-order maintained a strong tempo. Songadi Trisha and Sanika Chalke scored runs, while Trisha earned her Player of the Match and Series Awards for her performance. Team India remained unbeaten throughout the tournament holding the first position in the points table. Team India secured its second consecutive title at the T20 World Cup.
