FemoraAI, a health-tech start-up, has achieved great recognition at SheCohort 4.0, a Government of Punjab initiative that supports high-impact entrepreneurial ventures.

As a result of this recognition, FemoraAI was granted a seed grant of ₹0.75 lakh, while its co-founder Amulya Ponnala was selected as Ambassador for She Community. This recognition comes at a time when there is increasing focus on women-driven innovation in health-tech.

FemoraAI was created by Lovely Professional University (LPU) third-year B. Tech CSE students Ramanjit Singh, Founder & CEO, and Amulya, Founder & CTO.

FemoraAI is a women’s health-tech platform that uses artificial intelligence to predict women’s menstrual cycles. The start-up has a special focus on women in India.

FemoraAI uses machine learning to predict women’s menstrual cycles. It also predicts possible irregularities such as PCOS. Additionally, it provides personalized health advice to women. FemoraAI plans to connect women with certified gynecologists. It also plans to establish a moderated women’s health-tech community.

FemoraAI works as a predictive system that uses physiological, behavioral, and environmental factors. Unlike other cycle-tracking apps that work on rules-based systems, FemoraAI uses factors such as body temperature, lifestyle, and environmental factors to make predictions.

Apart from this, the platform assists the users in planning their daily activities based on their biological cycles, with the aim of better managing energy and preventive healthcare. Within a short period of three months of its launch, the platform has been able to attract more than 3,800 active users and over 10,000 menstrual cycles logged.

Speaking on the recognition, Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, said, “The recognition is a testament to our commitment to bridging the gap between education and practical innovation.” He added, “We at LPU encourage our students to harness technology for solving problems of the real world.”

The university itself claims that it has been fostering startups through its Department of Entrepreneurship & Startups, where it offers startups access to early-stage funding. It claims to have incubated over 250 startups so far with the aim of promoting experiential learning and fostering startups.
