- The fifth annual Women@Dior Global Conference is co-hosted by UNESCO and Christian Dior Couture in Paris
- The conference highlights concrete advancements in women's empowerment via international cooperation, mentoring, and education
Christian Dior Couture and UNESCO organized their fifth Women@Dior Global Conference at UNESCO headquarters in Paris on the key issues of equal access to education, career opportunities for the next generation, and women's empowerment as role models.
Senior LVMH, Dior, and UNESCO mentors were available to meet with Women@Dior mentorship program delegates, who were women with backgrounds in fashion, business, engineering, and international affairs. Together, they talked about how multifaceted dialogue can be used to advance gender equality. Self-awareness and well-being, autonomy, creative thinking, inclusive action, and sustainable development are the five pillars upon which the program is built.
In addition to receiving personalized feedback from Dior employees, each student has access to an online course curriculum covering subjects like gender equality, leadership, and sustainability.
As part of the program's capstone "Dream for Change" project, mentees apply what they have learned to community‑based projects that advance equity and provide concrete local impact.
Launched in 2017, Women@Dior has assisted over 2,500 women of 140 nationalities to date. Thanks to its collaboration with UNESCO, the program is being delivered free of charge in eight nations, including Nigeria, Kenya, and the Philippines, emphasizing Dior's desire to bridge the gap in global education and invest in the skills of women from marginalized communities.
