Dayalan Hemalatha has received a lot of praise on Twitter for her phenomenal performance in the rain-affected second women's T20I match against Bangladesh. India faced Bangladesh in the second Women's T20I, postponed due to rain. India Women continued to dominate, winning the game by 19 runs on the rain-affected pitch on Tuesday, April 30 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Dayalan Hemalatha was named Player of the Match for her great performance which was crucial to India's victorious win. Bangladesh Women struggled against the Indian bowling team after choosing to bat during the toss. Bangladesh could only make 119 runs before being bowled out, however, Murshida Khatun made 46 runs.
Indian bowler, Radha Yadav, who took three wickets for 19 runs, emerged as India's most impressive bowler. Next, Deepti Sharma and Shreyanka Patil both took two wickets. On the other hand, Renuka Singh had a poor performance as she gave 40 runs through her overs. Shafali Verma's golden duck dismissal led to a shaky performance, but Smriti Mandhana and Hemalatha's partnership helped to make things steady. In particular, Hemalatha demonstrated her aggressive batting style by scoring 41 runs in just 24 balls. Hemalatha's hitting style was primarily to blame for India's comfortable lead over the DLS par score when play was stopped by rain in the sixth over.
