Delhivery Launches All-Women Distribution Centre in Kochi

• Delhivery has opened an all-women distribution centre in Kochi, Kerala
• This takes to six the number of all-women facilities operated by the company across India
• The facility also includes improved safety and security features

Delhivery has announced plans to open a new all-women distribution center in Kochi, Kerala, making this its sixth all-women facility across India.

In its statement announcing the Kochi facility, the company stated that it has invested in amenities for women that include safe rest areas, changing areas, ergonomic workspaces, improved safety fixtures, and flexible work schedules to foster a positive impact for the balance between work and life.

The capacity of the facility is to process 1,000+ parcels per day, representing the efficiency and performance of the all-women workforce, the company mentioned.

As part of their ongoing effort to galvanize women’s contributions in the logistics sector, Delhivery also has all-women hubs in the cities of Moga in Punjab, Sikar in Rajasthan, Satna in Madhya Pradesh, and Mayapuri and Shahdara in Delhi.

Delhivery Senior Vice President of Last Mile Operations Prashant Gazipur expressed in a previous statement that hiring women employees always strengthens operations by providing better discipline, consistency, and accountability which positively impacts the quality of service and overall operational efficiency.
