Delhi has achieved a major breakthrough in enhancing women's safety, and gender responsive policing with the launch of the first ever fully fledged women police station in the Subzi Mandi area of North Delhi. Fully-fledged by female police officers, the newly-established facility has been designed to further enhance the capacity of the police in the prevention, investigation and resolution of offences committed against women as well as to provide a more supportive setting for women victims of offences to seek justice.
