Deepti Sharma reaches Career-High No. 2 Spot in ICC Women's ODI Bowlers Ranking

Deepti Sharma, the star bowler and all-rounder of the Indian Women's Cricket Team, has reached a career-high No. 2 spot in the ICC Women's ODI bowlers rankings after her impressive performances in recent matches against New Zealand in a three-match ODI series in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She picked up three wickets in two games with an economy rate of 3.42, helping her secure this position.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), Deepti reached a career-best rating of 687, whereas England's Sophie Ecclestone remains in the 1st position with a rating of 770. Additionally, the report says that England's Kate Cross and Australia's Megan Schutt, both the players have been dropped by one position each.

Deepti made impressive figures in the first ODI against the White Ferns, taking Georgia Plimmer and Isabella Gaze's wickets with finishing figures of 1 for 35 in 9 overs and 2 for 30 in 10 overs in respective matches. Grabbing 3 significant wickets, she gave away just 39 runs in 10 overs and helped India win by 6 wickets restricting New Zealand to 232 in 49.5 overs. Deepti secured the title of 'Player of the Series' for her impressive gameplay.

Deepti Sharma is known for her all-rounder performances for India. She made her ODI debut in 2014 and has since made significant contributions with both bat and ball. Her consistent bowling has helped India secure victories, and her sharp fielding skills have made her a key player in India's bowling attack.
