Coca-Cola Names Tapaswee Chandele as Global CPO 2026

Tapaswee Chandele has been appointed as Coca-Cola Company’s Global Chief People Officer, with effect from May 1, 2026. She will be succeeding Lisa Chang following her seven years in the role. Lisa will remain on board a Senior Advisor until the end of the year to facilitate as orderly transition.
Tapaswee currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff to President and CFO John Murphy, a position she has been holding since May 2025. She is credited to bring extensive leadership experience as she served as Senior Vice President of Global Talent, Development and HR Systems Partnerships (2019-2025), spearheading the organization’s global talent strategy playing a pivotal role within Lisa’s leadership team.
Beginning her career with Coca-Cola in 2001, Tapaswee has built extensive global expertise cross HR and talent development functions. Spanning multiple geographies, she was leading key roles in Türkiye, South Africa, and the United States.
Owing to her international leadership exposure, she at present serves board of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages in India and is a member of the Board of Directors at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia.
Her academic qualifications comprise of an MBA in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management in India. She also holds a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Clinical Nutrition from Seth G.S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, and a Bachelor of Science from Sophia College for Women.
The leadership transition signals the organization’s continued emphasis on elevating its global talent strategy and prioritising a people-first mindset. Tapaswee will be reporting directly to CRO Henrique Braun.
