CM Yogi to Launch Women, Child Welfare Initiatives in Lucknow

- Yogi Adityanath will launch various initiatives in Lucknow that will be focused on women empowerment, child development, and employment
- The purpose of the event is to improve the accuracy of the monitoring of the growth of women
In Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath is going to start a few projects or schemes for women empowerment, child development and generating job opportunities on March 28, 2026, at the Lok Bhavan (headquarters of the Department of Child Development and Nutrition).
Some of these schemes are going to be designed to improve Anganwadi services as well as deliver appointment letters for people under Mission Rozgar.
According to Sarneet Kaur Broca (Director), he will be providing 10 Anganwadi workers and helpers with growth monitoring equipment, such as stadiometers for measuring height, infantometers for measuring length, and scales for weighing mothers and babies, in addition to other items in March 30, 2022.
A total of 1,33,282 stadiometers, 10,553 infantometers and 58,237 scales for weighing mothers and infants are going to be distributed across Uttar Pradesh in order to ensure better monitoring of children's health and nutrition.
Finally, he will provide 10 new Anganwadi workers and helpers with their appointment letters; he will also provide 739 workers with their appointment letters (for public officials to deliver) across 46 districts and 15,203 helpers across 42 districts.
Smartphones will also be distributed to the workers and supervisors during the event, which will mark the beginning of the statewide initiative of providing smartphones to 69,794 workers and supervisors. This is expected to enable digital monitoring, data collection, and implementation of welfare schemes.
The program will also include the launch of a new design for Anganwadi center buildings, which is expected to cost approximately ₹30.32 lakh per building. In addition, foundation stones will be laid for 633 Anganwadi centers in 13 districts, 71 Child Development Project Offices in 28 districts, and 69 other centers in 27 districts. This is expected to involve an investment of ₹1, 37, 04.29 lakh.
The program will also include the inauguration of 2,468 Anganwadi centers in 70 districts and 69 Child Development Project Offices in 29 districts. These centers are expected to involve an investment of ₹3, 13, 26.31 lakh. These initiatives are expected to boost employment generation in these areas.
