CII-IWN Holds AI Workshop for Women Entrepreneurs in Chandigarh

Confederation of Indian Industry-Indian Women Network (CII-IWN) organized an interactive session on AI for women entrepreneurs and professionals at Chandigarh on Sunday, owing to the increasing incorporation of AI in day-to-day activities at the workplaces.
Held under the leadership of Rocky Jagatiani, the session went ahead from the theoretical discussions of AI to showcase practical ways of how AI can be utilized in business and professional settings to increase productivity, simplify routine tasks, aid decision-making, idea generation, and much more.
Sakshi Katyal, Chairperson, CII-IWN Chandigarh Tricity Chapter, spoke about the increasing significance of AI in the professional sphere, stressing that the use of this technology has advanced from being a newly-emerging idea to a valuable tool that helps companies achieve their goals.
"For women entrepreneurs and professionals in particular, AI can be an effective tool to simplify tasks, save time and achieve better outcomes," Sakshi said.

The effort highlighted the increasing emphasis on enabling individuals to be skilled in technologies that could enhance women’s AI skills and equip them to deal with an environment becoming more and more AI-powered.
Pointing out the significance of learning through experience, Sakshi added that practical sessions on AI will empower women to not only become aware of AI but gain enough confidence to implement AI in their business operations and job roles. This will allow them to find meaningful use cases and increase productivity and purposeful adoption of technology.
CII-IWN Co-Chairperson Lipi Pathak also graced the event, where women professionals and entrepreneurs explored the emerging relevance of artificial intelligence for businesses.
In the course of the meeting, Rocky gave an overview of important trends impacting the AI ecosystem such as generative AI, agentic AI, and Large Language Models. The discussion had a special focus on the applicability of these AI trends to practical business needs in areas like workflow optimization and automation of repetitive processes.
The training covered different areas where AI can bring noticeable productivity benefits. The participants learned how AI can be applied to marketing, content creation, research, creating presentations, programming, analysis and automation of work flows, and understood how to incorporate these capabilities into their professional work.
Through real business case studies, the participants were able to get firsthand experience of how AI technologies can make processes easier, save time on repetitive tasks, increase productivity, and enhance professional output. It helped them understand how to apply AI technologies in solving the problems that arise from their business and work-related issues. This hands-on training may help in easing digital and technology adoption and at the same time enable women to find suitable jobs applying skills in AI.
The network promised to continue supporting programs to enhance the technological, business and leadership skills of women entrepreneurs and professionals. The focus of the organization’s efforts will be to make women aware of the emerging fields like AI so that they can be ready to meet the challenges of the business world.
