The BSF Seema Bhawani Shaurya Expedition Empowerment Ride – 2022, which began on International Women's Day 2022 at India Gate in New Delhi and ended on March 29th in Chennai, was flagged off on the occasion of International Women's Day 2022.
The Expedition, led by Inspector Himanshu Sirohi, completed a gruelling 5280-kilometer ride on the all-new Royal Enfield Classic 350s across diverse terrains in Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu in close collaboration with the Border Security Force and Royal Enfield.
The Seema Bhawani Shaurya Expedition 2022 saw 36 female riders meet with a variety of riding communities and audiences along the way, with the purpose of spreading awareness about women's potential while emphasising freedom from bias, prejudice, and discrimination.
Royal Enfield held a special felicitation ceremony for the crew at its Vallam Vadagal site near Chennai to commemorate their incredible accomplishment. Each of these 36 members of the riding squad received a certificate and a trophy of honour for their participation in this spectacular motorbike adventure.
The Royal Enfield factory's female riders were pleased to be there. After riding these motorcycles for their famous, dangerous motorcycle-formation performances on the Rajpath every Republic Day parade, these women were keen to witness and learn how these Royal Enfield Classics are produced and constructed. The Seema Bhawani team interacted with industrial teams, particularly the Royal Enfield female assembly line workers, and spoke with them.
The BSF Seema Bhawani All-Women Daredevil Motorcycle Team was created in 2016 and has since put on several outstanding and stunning performances, including two appearances on Rajpath in New Delhi during the Republic Day Parade in 2018 and 2022. Riding communities and youth applauded the Seema Bhawani riders as they made their way through the adventure, praising their determination and endurance. The BSF Seema Bhawani Shaurya Expedition's 'Empowerment Ride – 2022' riders enjoyed amazing moments of team spirit and togetherness, bolstered by incredible support from enthralled spectators along the route.
