Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has empowered women in India by granting ownership rights to over 20 million women across the country.
The Prime Minister was speaking at the Griha-Pravesham session for beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which has built 5.21 lakh residences in Madhya Pradesh. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Chief Minister of Chhatarpur, took part in the programme.
According to the Prime Minister, the Pradhan Mantri Awas initiative has become a symbol of impoverished people's empowerment, women's empowerment, and the strength of the rural economy. Without identifying anyone, the PM criticised Congress, saying that while many slogans were raised to alleviate poverty in the country, the work that was intended to be done was not done. “Now poverty is being alleviated with the sincere efforts of the government and the cooperation of the poor. Women are becoming millionaires through the Pradhan Mantri Awas. Our government has provided pucca houses to 25 million poor families in the country in rural areas,” remarked the Prime Minister.
The PM stated, “We faced Covid-19 challenges effectively and the poor people got free ration. Now, due to war, a new crisis is arising in many types of economic systems. War has adversely affected the economy today, but efforts are being made that it should not affect the citizens of India. Our intention and policy are to give benefit to the bottom-most person.”
The names of 40 million fictitious recipients were erased from the rationing system. Modern machinery has been put at ration shops to prevent ration theft. The phoney game has come to an end.
Prime Minister Modi stated that it is our responsibility to give back to the next generation and serve as an example for them. “For this, let us all take a pledge that by the next years, 75 Amrit Sarovars should be made in every district of the country. These ponds should be new and big. The benefit of MNREGA scheme can be taken in their construction. It will play an important role in environmental protection and promotion,” he stressed.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has introduced a new dawn in the lives of the impoverished, according to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who has conducted a 5.25 lakh griha pravesh.
“A provision of ₹10,000 crore has been made in the next year’s budget in Madhya Pradesh to ensure that all the poor have their own pucca houses.”
According to Chief Minister Chouhan, 75 Amrit Sarovars will be created in each Madhya Pradesh district by the approaching Gudi-Padwa on the request of the Prime Minister.
