  • ‘Her Start-Up Show’ by Britannia Marie Gold is back with Season 2
  • Provides ₹10 lakh golden grants to encourage women entrepreneurs
  • Developed in association with GroupM Motion Entertainment and Mindshare

Britannia Marie Gold launched Season 2 of India's first-ever national reality show for women entrepreneurs, Her Start-Up Show, in association with GroupM Motion Entertainment and Mindshare. The show launched on JioHotstar on April 19 and has 40 women finalists competing to win the coveted ₹10 lakh Golden Grant.

A venture beyond a mere competition, Her Start-Up Show is a platform strong enough to lift up the potential female entrepreneurs by providing them with funding, mentorship, and national visibility. The campaign is an extension of the recently initiated Britannia Marie Gold Her Start-Up Contest in July 2024, which saw more than one lakh participants from all over India. Of these, 100 were given professional training and 40 made it to the final episode of the show.

All 40 finalists stand a chance to receive a ₹10 lakh grant or customised mentorship, increased visibility, and exposure to an enabling entrepreneurial environment. The first 10 finalists will receive the ₹10 lakh Golden Grant, and others will participate in the NSDC Women Entrepreneurs Mentorship Programme.

The contestants come from varied areas like Indore, Aurangabad, Coimbatore, and Jammu & Kashmir and have creative concepts from food, fashion, sustainability, tech, and agri across different sectors. Six regional languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, are provided on JioHotstar with subtitles and audio and new episodes are rolled out every weekend with two per fortnight.

Presented by actress Shriya Saran, the show boasts an encouraging jury panel consisting of actor-entrepreneur Neha Dhupia, MasterChef winner Shipra Khanna, artisan Ruma Devi, Suta's Sujata Biswas, Jagran Group's Aarti Gupta, Britannia's Riya Joseph, and NSDC India's Shreshtha Gupta.

Siddharth Gupta, Marketing General Manager at Britannia, said, "Our journey started with a basic belief—that millions of women all over India have great ideas and just need the right platform to succeed. What started as a contest has now turned into a strong ecosystem with programs like HerStore and now Season 2 of Her Start-Up Show. We are happy to further our mission of enabling women 'Do More, Be More'."

Ashwin Padmanabhan, COO of GroupM South Asia, added, “We see media not just as a tool for storytelling, but as a driver of real change. Her Start-Up Show combines purpose and storytelling to foster economic empowerment. After the success of Season 1, we’ve expanded the show’s reach to more regions and languages, bringing even more women closer to the support they deserve. This show is about action, transformation, and enabling dreams to become reality.”
