1.7 lakh Women in Odisha to receive Financial Assistance, says Deputy CM Pravati Parida

Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha, Pravati Parida, announced that over 1.7 lakh women will receive financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana on April 24, 2025, coinciding with Panchayati Raj Divas in Puri. Eligible beneficiaries who haven't received the first two installments will receive Rs 10,000 credited to their bank accounts through DBT system.
On the sixth phase of disbursal of financial assistance, CM Pravati noted, "Beneficiaries who applied by the March 31 deadline will receive both the first and second instalments, a total of Rs 10,000. The amount will be credited directly to their bank accounts through the direct benefit transfer (DBT) system. The government is committed to ensuring timely support to eligible women."
Official sources said that the government is implementing a toll-free helpline 14678 for those who missed payments or have only received a single instalment, aiming to empower women and ensure timely support in future disbursement phases.
The Subhadra Yojana, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2024, is a government initiative targeting over 1 crore women aged 21-60 years. It offers a financial incentive of Rs 50,000 over five years, with an annual aid of Rs 10,000 in two instalments.
