BRICS Chamber Launches Program to Help Women Grow Businesses

  • The BRICS Chamber of Commerce supports female entrepreneurs in expanding globally
  • It includes the Global Women Leadership Mentoring Program

The BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), recently, have expressed their support for women entrepreneurs and their attempts to increase their businesses globally.

The project, ‘Global Women Leadership Mentoring Program,’ will help women entrepreneurs residing in countries such as Brazil, Russia, and South Africa.

Addressing the World Economic Forum, or WEF, at Davos, was Ruby Sinha, the President, BRICS CCI Women Empowerment, who spoke about the activities that have been initiated by the chamber.

She replied, “We, at BRICS CCI, have been undertaking a series of initiatives that include the Global Women Leadership Mentoring Program, which enables us to have a direct connection with organizations that have membership in the BRICS Plus countries, including Brazil, Russia, and South Africa”.

“There is a heightened level of interest in having global cooperation between women entrepreneurs, which our program will cover. The Women in Innovation, Science, and Entrepreneurship program will be primarily covered during the Women’s Summit in March. This was initiated at the BRICS Summit in Brazil.”

The 56th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, scheduled from January 19th-23rd, 2026, in Davos-Klosters, is likely to see the attendance of nearly 3,000 participants from over 130 countries.

The Annual Meeting, with its theme ‘A Spirit of Dialogue,’ aims at bringing together leaders, entrepreneurs, thinkers, and policymakers in efforts aimed at addressing the topical issues of the current global context.

During this event, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi spoke about the burgeoning market for renewable energy in India and encouraged foreign investors to harness the rapidly expanding market of clean energy in India.
