Bodycraft Lands Rs. 120 Crore to Expand Beauty Network

Beauty and wellness company Bodycraft has closed a new round of funding led by Singularity AMC worth Rs 120 crore (about $12.6 million), which is an important milestone for the company in its nearly 30-year history. The investment, which is the first significant capital injection in over a decade, is projected to help Bodycraft expand its operations throughout India and bolster its technology, clinical, and customer experience.
Started in 1997 by the entrepreneur Manjul Gupta, Bodycraft has expanded from being a single beauty salon into one of the top integrated beauty, wellness and clinical aesthetics brands in India. The company now has 67 outlets (33 clinics and 34 salons) in over 10 cities in India. The new investment will allow the operator to further expand its presence by opening 30 new stores, strengthening its presence in existing and new markets.
The fresh investment will also be used for the development of advanced clinical technologies and equipment, which will further contribute to Bodycraft's expansion of medical aesthetic treatments and services. The company will also enhance its management team and operational expertise, and add artificial intelligence (AI) solutions that will boost efficiency and provide a more personalized customer experience.

The company is currently headed by Dr. Mikki Singh under the Clinical aesthetics division and Sahil Gupta as the CEO of the company. Bodycraft has since grown to provide more than just beautician services, such as dermatology, cosmetics services, laser treatments, skin care, and hair replacement services, allowing for it to be viewed as a complete beauty and wellness center.
The funding is timely as India's clinical aesthetics industry has been rapidly expanding. The domestic clinical aesthetics market is expected to grow from about $2 billion in 2024 to more than $7 billion by 2033, the company said. The various factors such as the rising awareness among consumers, surge in disposable income, acceptance of aesthetic procedures, and the developments in the skin care technology are boosting the demand in the urban and semi-urban markets.
