BML Munjal, Ideabaaz Launch Women in Tech Accelerator
By: Women Entrepreneurs Review Team | Thursday, 4 June 2026
The Women in Tech Accelerator Programme, a combined initiative for 12 weeks, has been launched by Propel Incubator by BML Munjal University (BMU), in partnership with Ideabaaz, which is India’s premier platform for entrepreneurs across India. The programme aims to enable women entrepreneurs working in the tech domain to accelerate their business growth.
Nowadays, women are becoming the main drivers of growth and innovation in different sectors. However, many startups led by women are still facing obstacles in getting funding, industry contacts, mentorship, and development opportunities, which are required for them to grow from being a small-scale innovation to a large-scale business.
Key Highlight:
- New 12-week accelerator initiated to expand technology companies founded by women using mentoring and investor introductions.
- NITI Aayog-supported initiative aimed at helping five startups focusing on areas like AI, DeepTech, Healthcare, ClimateTech, and beyond.
- The selected entrepreneurs will be able to get national recognition via Season 2 of Ideabaaz.
The accelerator aims to meet these challenges by offering founders a well-organized platform through which they can rapidly develop their businesses, gain access to market, be part of their industry, and connect with investors among other ways.
This will enable them to create scalable and long-lasting enterprises. Those startups that are chosen will be given a chance to present their business to the entire nation; thereby, getting a spot in Season 2 of Ideabaaz, in front of investors, industry leaders, and a television viewing audience from all over the country.
The Women's Accelerator Program is funded by NITI Aayog and has been launched in the presence of Anna Roy, Principal Economic Advisor and Mission Director, Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP).
The program is designed to help a first batch of five women-led startups who are using technology to solve problems in at least one of the following sectors: climate technology, healthcare and MedTech, artificial intelligence, DeepTech, sustainability, automation and robotics, EdTech, and social innovation.
Emphasizing the pivotal role of developing more effective channels for women entrepreneurs to gain access to mentors, markets, and opportunities for growth, Anna remarked, “Women entrepreneurship must move beyond symbolic conversations and become a defining force in India’s growth story. Initiatives like the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) have played a critical role in enabling access, mentorship and opportunities for women founders across the country.”
The introduction of the Women Accelerator-Program by Ideabaaz and BML Munjal University is a very promising measure towards creating a more inclusive, innovation-based India, where women not only participate but also become leaders and builders of the nation. WEP is delighted to empower this initiative as a partner.
Commenting on the launch, Davinder Singh, CEO, Incubation; Professor, School of Management at BML Munjal University, added, “Women entrepreneurs are building innovative solutions across some of the most critical sectors of the economy. Through the Women in Tech Accelerator Program, we aim to provide founders with the mentorship, industry access, and investor readiness support needed to accelerate growth and transform promising ideas into scalable ventures. This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering innovation-led entrepreneurship and creating meaningful impact through technology.”
