BJP Launches Lado 'Lakshmi Yojana' to Provide Rs 2,100 Monthly Aid to Women

The BJP government on Thursday kept an important poll promise, with Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini saying that the 'Lado Lakshmi Yojana' would be introduced from September 25. Under the scheme, all eligible women would be given ₹2,100 as monthly financial support.
Nayab stated the decision was given the go-ahead at a meeting of the Haryana cabinet, and the scheme will be carried out as the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana on the birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyaya.
From September 25th, all women over 23 years of age, married and unmarried will be eligible to avail themselves of the scheme.
During its first phase, the scheme will target families with annual incomes of less than ₹1 lakh, and eventually expand in stages to cover higher income groups.
To be eligible, unmarried women need to be domicile of Haryana for a minimum period of 15 years, while married women have to be domicile as required by their husbands.
There is no limit to the number of dependents per family — if three women belonging to the same family are eligible, then all three shall get the benefit.
Lado Lakshmi Yojana, a welfare program, for financially supporting women in the state. From September 25, 2024, the birthday of Deendayal Upadhyaya, all unmarried or married women with an age of 23 years or more will get ₹2,100 per month as monthly assistance.
