Bengaluru Women Entrepreneurs Shine Globally in Gem & Jewellery Industry: BDA Chairman

Bengaluru women entrepreneurs are making their mark globally for their exceptional work in the gem and jewellery sector, stated Shri N. A. Haris, Chairman of the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA), at the 3rd Edition of the IBJA Golden Girls Awards at Hotel Shangri-La.
The elite event was organized by the India Bullion & Jewellers Association (IBJA) headed by Dr. Chetan Kumar Mehta, National President (Jewellery Division, IBJA), in association with Heera Zhaveraat Trade Media Group Enterprises.
Emphasizing Karnataka's increasing international recognition, Shri Haris appreciated the contributions of women entrepreneurs in positioning Bengaluru in the global jewellery scene. He applauded the awards for acknowledging their contributions and honoring their entrepreneurial spirit.
Presenting the keynote address, Dr. Chetan said, "Empowering women isn't a trend — it's a truth. The gem and jewellery sector is booming owing to the entrepreneurial vision of women entrepreneurs, who are promoting creativity, innovation, and operational excellence across the industry."
IBJA National President Shri Prithviraj Kothari seconded this, saying, "This Bengaluru edition of the Golden Girls Awards reaffirms our commitment to highlighting women's contributions and leadership in the corporate world."
Ms. Reena Shukla, Convener of the Golden Girls Awards and Director, Bajaj Overseas Ltd., stated, "These awards celebrate fearless women who have overcome adversities. This celebration gathers industry leaders, change makers, and trailblazers — indeed making a resounding tribute to women's empowerment in the jewellery industry."
13 successful women entrepreneurs were honored with Golden Girl Awards at the event for their remarkable impact on the industry. The occasion also had special guests such as Mrs. Srilakshmi Kamath, Director of ABARAN, and Shri Bhanu Prasad Naidu, an esteemed industrialist from Ballari, who congratulated the awardees' success. The third IBJA Golden Girls Awards third Edition was a strong testament to women's leadership, determination, and entrepreneurial achievement in the gem and jewellery trade.
