- BCCI releases India Women's teams for the coming ODI and T20I series against England
- Series from June 28 to July 22
- Eight games between India women's and England women's teams
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the India women's teams for the white-ball series against England, scheduled to take place between June 28 and July 22. The tour will feature a total of eight matches, including five T20 Internationals (T20Is) and three One Day Internationals (ODIs).
Harmanpreet Kaur has been appointed captain in both forms, and Smriti Mandhana has been appointed vice-captain. In a surprising change, Shafali Verma is back in the T20I squad after seven months, pointing towards a format-specific role. Meanwhile, Pratika Rawal has been retained in the ODI squad.
This comes in the wake of India's success at the Tri-Series in Sri Lanka, also against South Africa, and which has provided the side that added morale boost before the tour of England. The T20I series will be played from June 28 to July 12, and the ODI series between July 16 to 22. Seasoned all-rounder Sneh Rana, who performed well in the Tri-Series, has been chosen for both teams and will provide power and experience to the team.
