Bank of Baroda Partners with TN-SRLM to Support SHGs in TN

- Bank of Baroda entered into a MoU with TN-SRLM
- The MoU was signed at the Global Women Summit in Chennai on January 29, 2026
- The objective is to extend financial services to SHGs in Tamil Nadu
As part of the Global Women Summit held on January 29, 2026, at the Chennai Trade Centre, the "Chennai Division" of Bank of Baroda (BOB) has entered into an agreement with the "Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihoods Mission (TN-SRLM)" for the provision of financial services for "Self Help Groups (SHGs)" created to promote self-employment opportunities in Tamil Nadu by TN-SRLM.
The summit was attended by several senior officials, including Udhayanidhi Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, along with Pradip Yadav, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, SPID; Asha Ajith, IAS, TNWeSafe Project; S. Divyadharahini, IAS, Managing Director of TNCDW & CEO of TN-SRLM; Vijaya N, GM of Indian Overseas Bank & Convenor, SLBC Tamil Nadu; T. N. Suresh, GM & Zonal Head, Bank of Baroda, Chennai Zone; and Sreenivas Ravipati, DGM (Business Development), Chennai Zone, among others.
The summit was organized by TN-SRLM in partnership with TN-WESAFE and featured leading public sector banks, including Bank of Baroda.
