The support is given in phases of the initial amount is Rs. 10,000 as the initial amount to set a business venture. Further, in case the business is a success, a second installment of a low-interest loan of Rs 25,000 can be availed under this program.
In the third phase, more financial support will be offered, that is, up to Rs 50,000, provided the business continues with the growth process.
The scheme is primarily structured to facilitate women who are members of identified Self Help Groups (SHGs).
Candidates interested in availing of this scheme must contact the SHG in their Panchayat/Block level in a district and submit relevant documents such as Aadhar Card, bank information, residence certificate, etc.
Following this, transactions will reflect in the first installment in their bank account directly sense after registering under this scheme.
The aim and objective of the Assam Government is to enable 40 lakh women to become “Lakshapati Didi”. Thus, the rural economy will also benefit through this program so that women become financially independent and their families become prosperous through business.
