After a transformative seven-month journey, the EmpowerHER in Tech program draws to an end, significantly contributing to bridging the gender gap in the technology sector.

Launched on January 20, 2024, in the Vasai-Virar region, Maharashtra, this initiative was a collaboration between Contentstack and Edba-Academy. Its goal was to give back to the community and foster a supportive environment where local talent could thrive and realize their full potential.

Championing Diversity and Inclusion in Tech

"We're committed to leveling the playing field for women in India. The results of our EmpowerHER program fill us with immense pride — 120 talented women now have the access and skills to become confident leaders of the tech industry," said Neha Sampat, CEO of Contentstack. The program represented a significant move beyond the general purview of inclusion, creating real opportunities for women in tech.

Cutting-Edge Technical Training for Future Leaders:

EmpowerHER in Tech included 80 hybrid sessions and 5 masterclasses covering cutting-edge technical skills such as problem-solving through coding, the software development life cycle, artificial intelligence, an introduction to data science, and prompt engineering. Additionally, participants were introduced to enterprise tools such as Slack and Jira, essential for modern tech workplaces.

Holistic Growth: Beyond Technical Skills:

Beyond technical training, EmpowerHER in Tech aimed to provide holistic professional development. Participants honed communication skills, mastered executive presence, and received personalized mentorship.

Vasu Kothamasu, General Manager for India and Global Engineering Leader of Contentstack, stated, "EmpowerHER in Tech has been a transformative journey, and its impact is far-reaching. By offering personalized mentorship and practical training, we've laid a strong foundation for these women to excel in their careers and drive innovation in the tech sector."

Kshitija Katare, the General Manager of edba Academy, added, "The EmpowerHER in Tech program has not only empowered a new generation of women technologists but has also laid the cornerstone for future breakthroughs. By fostering a diverse talent pool, we are ensuring that varied perspectives and inclusive ideas drive the next wave of innovation. The conclusion of EmpowerHER in Tech is not just an end but a new beginning for these 120 aspiring young women. Their journey symbolizes a commitment to continuous professional development and their vital role in advancing the Indian economy and society.”
