FICCI FLO signs MoU with European Counterparts to Support Indian Women Entrepreneurs

FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the India-EU Trade Council and The Good Government Affairs International in Stockholm, Sweden to strengthen collaboration between Indian women entrepreneurs and European counterparts in trade, industry, and innovation. The partnership aims to increase opportunities for women-led businesses in India, promote industry interactions, support women in business, and enhance bilateral trade.
FICCI FLO was represented by National President Joyshree Das Verma and Chairperson Lena Backer, with the presence of Swedish Member of Parliament Saila Quicklund and Senior Advisor Michael Berglund of Good Government Affairs International. The FICCI FLO Business Delegation, consisting of 63 women entrepreneurs, is visiting Finland, Sweden, Estonia, and Latvia. They held a business meeting in Helsinki, Finland, where opportunities were discussed, including setting up or expanding a company, finding investment opportunities, and starting a new career.
Ms. Joyshree Das Verma mentions, "The signing of MoU is a significant step towards enhancing trade and supporting women entrepreneurs, especially in the key sectors such as textiles and apparel, handicrafts, agriculture, food processing, IT and digital products, tourism, and hospitality industry." She added, "During its delegation visit to Finland, Sweden, Estonia, and Latvia FLO is working towards exploring the possibilities and opportunities of enhancing the India-EU business relationship, fostering a platform for new business relationships, especially between women entrepreneurs."
