
Arunachal Pradesh Launches Initiative to Boost Women's Health

Arunachal Pradesh will be initiating the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan under the 8th Poshan Maah with an emphasis on enhanced women's health.
Governor KT Parnaik underscored the importance of this national campaign and called for its implementation with immediacy and concerted efforts.
In Itanagar, Health and Family Welfare Minister Biyuram Wahge called on Governor KT Parnaik at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday to discuss the introduction of the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan, the 8th Poshan Maah, and other health-related programs.
At the meeting, the governor emphasized the need for the campaign to be undertaken in mission mode, with tenacity and urgency. He argued that a women’s health is important for individual health and is the basis for a stable family to a stable society.
He added, "A woman's good health nurtures generations and contributes directly to and creates a strong community."
Governor Parnaik also stressed enhancing the delivery system for health care so that quality health care, preventive health care, and awareness programs can reach all women, especially in far-flung and backward areas. He urged all concerned to come together to make healthcare accessible, affordable, and effective for all women in the state.
In addition, the governor directed the minister to make sure the health sector is well-staffed with trained personnel and with good application of state-of-the-art technologies.
He emphasized that healing should not only be treatment but also kindness, reassurance, and respect for one another.
