He claimed that in the age of digital media, the gender disparity in the employment sector has lessened. He was speaking during a training session for an art procession that would be staged as part of Kudumbashree's anti-dowry campaign, 'Sthreepaksha Navakeralam.'
Two music presentations and a play will be performed over the six-day session. This will take place during the February art procession. Dowry, women's repression, and women's emancipation have all been explored via drama and song. The programme will be attended by women from 12 districts.
The events of the campaign will last until March 20, 2022. On a weekly basis, a detailed working plan for activities has been established for neighbourhood groups at the district, block, and panchayat levels. During the campaign's first week, three lakh neighbourhood groups and 19,542 auxiliary organisations would have discussions on 'dowry and violence.'
The campaign will also incorporate a poster campaign, a social media challenge, films, a wall campaign, and a cartoon series.
In December, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan began a campaign at the state level. The programme will bring together three ladies from each area. The notably 10 members will next be trained in their respective areas. The art parade will include up to 140 ladies from various areas. They plan to have events around the state.
Dramatic professionals Training is provided by Rafeeq Mangalaserry, Sudhi, Sreeja Arangotukara, and Shylaja Ambu.
