The startup initiative led by Arindam Bora, 'Inspiring Women' has made phenomenal progress in 3 years of its establishment. This initiative aims to empower women entrepreneurs in Assam and Northeast India by providing them access to vital resources, networking opportunities, and digital visibility. They majorly focus on businesswomen hailing from the Northeast and Assam and provide a digital platform to advertise their companies, goods, and services. They also showcase these companies' experiences of fundraising, challenges, success stories, and the behind-the-scenes obstacles faced.
During the tenure of three years, the initiative has paved the way for 40 female entrepreneurs and aims to grow more. They actively promote these 40 business owners by advertising them and featuring their companies on social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram, which brings in an average of 4,000 monthly visitors to their website. Their reach on social media is between 600 to 1000 people. Several entrepreneurial communities, specifically in Guwahati have responded positively.
The young and prospective female business owners who are under 30 can take part in workshops, training courses, and developmental projects which will accelerate the growth of their companies. The influence of 'Inspiring Women' is not limited to just urban regions of India but also witnessed the active participation of rural women entrepreneurs from districts such as Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sonitpur, and Nagaon. The participating female entrepreneurs are encouraged to share ideas, business promotion, entrepreneurship education, and digital guides are provided as its core activities.
