Anamika Sharma, a skydiver from Uttar Pradesh, performed a daring skydive over Bangkok on January 8, 2025, unfurling the Maha Kumbh flag mid-air. The video, which has gone viral, shows Anamika holding the flag before boarding an aircraft and jumping out of it, soaring through the sky while unfurling the flag. This act has been praised as a symbol of devotion and adventure, drawing attention to the Maha Kumbh Mela, one of the world's largest religious gatherings.

The Prayagraj Girl shared the video on her social media handle captioning "Inviting people all over the globe for world's largest human gathering - Maha Kumbh 2025." She skydived at 13,000 feet over Bangkok creating a breathtaking moment.

Mahakumbh, the world's largest religious event, began in Prayagraj on Monday with over 40 crore devotees taking sacred dips at Sangam where the holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. Rooted in ancient Hindu epics, it commemorates the samudra manthan. During this, the nectar of immortality fell in four locations, including Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the first day of Mahakumbh 2025. He wrote on his social media handle X "A very special day for crores of people who cherish Bharatiya values and culture! Maha Kumbh 2025 commences in Prayagraj, bringing together countless people in a sacred confluence of faith, devotion, and culture. The Maha Kumbh embodies India's timeless spiritual heritage and celebrates faith and harmony."
