AM/NS India organizes Run for Girl Child Marathon in Gujarat

ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) held the Run for Girl Child Marathon in Surat, Gujarat, with over 250 women representatives from various roles including crane operators, safety and security marshals, engineers, and management professionals. The event aimed to advance girl child education and empowerment, aligning with AM/NS India's "She Makes Steel Smarter" initiative, which positively impacted over 2.5 million lives, demonstrating AM/NS India's commitment to empowering women.
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India's Deputy Director (Technology), Santosh Mundhada mentioned "Our women workforce is powering this marathon just as they power our operations at the flagship plant in Hazira, guided by the 'She Makes Steel Smarter' initiative. Active participation by our 'women in steel' reinforces the company's commitment to fostering opportunities for girls to thrive, thus enabling societal progress. In addition, men from different departments of the company will also join the marathon."
AM/NS India organized this event to empower women in various roles and age groups and showcase its commitment to social causes and CSR interventions. The event was vibrant and inspiring.
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India is a joint venture between ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel, a leading integrated flat carbon steel producer in India.
