Amanjot & Jemimah Shine as India Clinch 24-Run Victory Over England in 2nd T20I

- Amanjot Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues scored awesome half-centuries to lead the batting charge
- The victory gave India a 2-0 lead within the five-match T20I series
India continued their dominant run in the white-ball tour with a 24-run victory over England within the 2nd T20I at Bristol, taking a 2-0 lead inside the five-fit series. Batting first, India overcame an early collapse to submit 181/4, way to stellar half-centuries from Amanjot Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues (63 off 41).
The duo rescued India from 31/3 with a 93-run stand, before Amanjot and Richa Ghosh introduced 57 runs to offer a powerful end. India accumulated 117 runs in the final 10 overs, registering their 2nd-highest overall in girls’ T20Is on the venue.
England’s chase faltered early, decreased to 17/3 through the fourth over. Deepti Sharma and Amanjot Kaur made early breakthroughs, while India’s fielding effort, together with 3 run-outs, stored the stress on. Tammy Beaumont (54 off 35) and Amy Jones (32) added 70 runs to restore England’s hopes; however left-arm spinner Shreyanka Patil (2/28) broke the stand and sealed the win. England finished at 157/7.
This marked the first time England lost a women’s T20I in Bristol. Amanjot, who contributed with both bat and ball, changed into named Player of the Match. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur praised the team’s collective effort, in particular the spin unit and center-order resilience.
With returned-to-back wins, inclusive of a file 97-run victory within the opener, India looks set to dominate the series. “Wherever we play, we're geared up to dominate,” said Amanjot, reflecting India’s assured mindset.
