The 2023 Progress Software Akanksha Scholarship for Women in STEM in India is now accepting applications, according to Progress which is the trusted provider of infrastructure and application development software. The last date for submission of forms is July 7 by 5:00 p.m.
The majority of women still see a barrier to selecting a career in STEM and need support and encouragement, according to Prasanna Anireddy, VP, of Engineering, Progress. With the help of this yearly scholarship, the firm hopes to demonstrate to women that there is a future in the IT industry that values and supports diversity in talent. It hopes to witness more and more ambitious young women who are eager to continue their higher studies in STEM and give some contribution to the technology industry.
The Akanksha Scholarship is a four-year, renewable award worth up to INR 1,50,000 that can be used to pay for academic purposes like tuition and fees. This program is open for those female students who are pursuing their bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, software engineering, or information technology. Candidates must show excellence in their academic results, courage, and resilience.
Three different scholarship programs are available in the United States, Bulgaria, and India through Progress 'Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, Progress for Tomorrow. Progress wants to increase the number of women working in computer science, software engineering, IT, and computer information systems globally.
