AIFF Names 34 Probables for Women's Football Olympic Qualifiers

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has disclosed the names of 34 players who are potential candidates for the national camp, where the team for the second round of the AFC Olympics Qualifiers will be chosen. The Blue Tigresses secured their spot in round two by overpowering the Kyrgyz Republic with a convincing 5-0 and 4-0 victory.
In the upcoming AFC Women's Olympic Qualifiers, India will be placed in Group C and will compete against Japan on October 26, Vietnam on October 29, and hosts Uzbekistan on November 1. The tournament will be held in Tashkent.
The much-awaited camp is scheduled to kick off in Bhubaneswar on July 30. This camp will serve as the platform to assess and select the most promising players to represent India in the prestigious qualifiers.
Among the players included in the squad are goalkeepers Sowmiya Narayanasamy, Maibam Linthoingambi Devi, and Shreya Hooda, along with a mix of talented defenders, midfielders, and forwards.
India's previous performance in the qualifiers has been commendable, leading them to round two. With their eyes set on securing a spot in the Olympics, the team will be putting in rigorous efforts to achieve success in the upcoming matches against formidable opponents.
The AFC Women's Olympic Qualifiers provide a significant opportunity for women footballers to showcase their skills and passion for the sport.
