ADITRI Launches 100 Women-Led Startups at SRM University, Amaravati

- The event witnessed the launch of 100 women entrepreneurship startups
ADITRI, the flagship initiative of the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, marked its milestone with the launch of 100 women entrepreneurship startups at SRM University, Amaravati. The machinery distribution and technical knowledge transfer ceremony was inaugurated by Dr. Chandra Shekhar Pemmasani, Minister of State for Rural Development & Communications, Government of India.
Dr. Pemmasani honored certificates and tools to the newly graduated women entrepreneurs, giving credit to their perseverance and courage. "Where many others desire to be entrepreneurs, it requires authentic passion, perseverance, and sacrifice to see it through. These women have demonstrated that it's possible," he added.
The Minister commended SRM AP University and its Centre for Social Entrepreneurship for promoting grassroots change. He also identified some government initiatives like MUDRA, Lakhpati Didi, Start-Up India, and Stand-Up India, and digital tools like Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp that facilitate learning and development for entrepreneurs.
The program welcomed over 1,500 attendants, namely SRM AP's Vice Chancellor Manoj K Arora, Pro-Vice Chancellor Ch Sathish Kumar, Registrar Dr. R Premkumar, deans, faculty staff, staff members, and students. ADITRI, which is SRM AP's Rural Women Micro-entrepreneurship program, persists in empowering women in rural settlements through encouraging autonomy, increasing opportunities for livelihoods, and handling key issues such as market availability and access to resources.
