4 Women Including Jane G & Anna W to Receive 2025 Presidential Medal of Freedom in USA

The names of the 2025 Presidential Medal of Freedom’s recipients have been announced by the US President Joe Biden. It is the highest civilian honor in the U.S., which is being awarded to a total of 13 individuals coming from a diverse group of leaders across different landscaped like science, sports, and social justice.
Four women are included in the 2025 list of recipients namely Hillary Clinton, Jane Goodall, Fannie Lou Hamer, and Anna Wintour.
Hillary Clinton, has been recognised as a trailblazing politician who has tirelessly worked for improving women’s rights globally. She was also the first woman to be nominated for president by a major party.
Jane Goodall is a beloved figure in the world of environmental and wildlife conservation. Her ground breaking research work on primates has impacted the world of conservation greatly as has her tireless advocacy for environmental preservation.
Fannie Lou Hamer is being awarded the honour posthumously for her contribution to the civil rights movement and advancing racial justice in the US. She was known for empowering marginalized communities and was the founder of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party.
Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief for Vogue has been given the honour to recognise her visionary leadership in the fashion industry. Apart from her influence on global fashion she is also recognized for the philanthropic work. Anna leads the Met Gala that has raised millions for the arts.
