- The Unlock Her Future™ Prize comes back in 2025, after editions in MENA (2023) and LATAM (2024) with success
- The theme for this year is the South Asia region, where the dynamic and culturally vibrant territory is the center of interest
After successful editions in the MENA region in 2023 and LATAM in 2024, Unlock Her Future™ Prize comes back in 2025 with a concentration in South Asia.
The international start-up competition wants to empower women social entrepreneurs leading social and environmental change according to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This year's edition gathers women from India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan as a group of innovators working on critical challenges towards a fairer world.
The award is intended to fund impactful sustainability, and winners receive grants of up to $100,000, leadership training, academic guidance by the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School, and a 12-month mentorship programme in collaboration with Ashoka and The Bicester Collection.
More than 2,900 applications have been submitted, all centered on health and wellbeing, economic empowerment and financial inclusion, and climate and sustainability.
Among Indian finalists are Amritha Krishnamoorthy of the Stepping Stones Centre and Jhillika Trisal, both engaged in improving education for children with special needs; Shaili Chopra of Gytree, empowering women's health in midlife and menopause; and Prapti Mittal of IndoArtisans, ensuring sustainable livelihoods for artisans.
Other finalists from South Asia are entrepreneurs from Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Bhutan who are working to ensure access to technology, water security, maternal health, and empowerment of communities.
It was established by Chantal Khoueiry, Chief Culture Officer of The Bicester Collection, and is designed to stimulate, accelerate, and celebrate female impact. The competition will feature a semi-finalist bootcamp in October, with the contest culminating in a finale in London on November 19, 2025.
