25 Sirsa Women Entrepreneurs Receive Rs 3.47 lakh Financial Aid under Gov Schemes

Under the Haryana Matrushakti Udyamita Yojana and Widow Loan Scheme, Rs 3, 47, 118 financial assistance was given to 25 women entrepreneurs in Sirsa.
The cheques were presented in the presence of Dr. Darshna Singh, District Manager of the Women Development Corporation. Additional Deputy Commissioner Virender Sahrawat said that the Haryana Government is launching a number of schemes to make women self-sufficient.
The Matrushakti Udyamita Yojana and the Widow Loan Scheme are significant in enabling women to empower themselves by offering them finance for self-employment.
Widows and women in below-poverty-line categories are entitled to borrow up to Rs 5 lakh under the Matrushakti Udyamita Yojana to start their own enterprise.
The scheme gives a three-month moratorium and is available to women aged between 18 and 60 years with a family income of up to Rs 5 lakh per year.
Women must provide an application with documents such as Aadhaar card, Parivar Pehchan Patra, income certificate, and business details at the office of Women Development Corporation.
The Widow Loan Scheme is to cover widowed, divorced, or legally separated women from financially weaker sections. The eligible candidates can avail loans of Rs 3 lakh from banks for self-employment purposes if their income is less than Rs 3 lakh per annum.
