Take us through your educational background and the prior industry experience that you bring to the table.

Hailing from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, I began as a girl with big dreams and have grown into a seasoned professional in the immigration and education industry. My journey has been incredibly transformative, starting with a leap of faith at a young age to pursue higher education at LPU in Punjab. This decision marked the beginning of a series of challenges and triumphs that shaped my character and career. One pivotal moment was during my BBA when my team conceptualized a business plan targeting students from diverse backgrounds at LPU. Despite humble beginnings, we ventured into garment printing and sales, embracing entrepreneurship and teamwork. Although profitability eluded us, the experience was invaluable.

After completing my MBA, I explored opportunities in corporate sales but quickly discovered that my true passion resided in a different field. Transitioning to Career Enhancer, specializing in student and tourist visas, felt like coming full circle. Today, as part of a dynamic team, I continue to evolve professionally, finding fulfillment in empowering individuals to pursue their dreams through education and travel.

Throw some light on the major responsibilities you shoulder as the Director of The Career Enhancer and Visa Consultancy. What are your primary focus areas in terms of driving growth for the company?

As the Director of The Career Enhancer and Visa Consultancy, my primary responsibilities revolve around strategic leadership and ensuring top-quality service delivery. One of the critical challenges I face is building and maintaining a dedicated team in our small town. To address this, I focus on creating a family-like work environment where every member feels valued and supported, inspired by my husband’s exemplary leadership.

Driving growth involves maintaining consistency and excellence in our services. From starting with just a few students to now managing batches of 250 to 300, our growth has been fueled by unwavering commitment and adaptability. Even during challenging times, we remain consistent in our efforts and optimistic about the future.

Moreover, operating in the legal domain of international education requires utmost transparency and integrity. By being truthful and transparent in all dealings, we have built trust with our clients, ensuring their investments are secure and their goals are achieved.

In your opinion what are some of the most critical challenges you encounter as a young entrepreneur? What steps do you undertake to overcome these roadblocks?

As a young entrepreneur, one of the most critical challenges I face is the pervasive skepticism toward women in leadership roles, especially in smaller towns like ours in Punjab. In many areas of India, there is still a prevailing mindset that undermines women's authority and expertise.

To overcome these roadblocks, I adopt several strategies. Firstly, I strive to establish my authority through consistent professionalism and competence, I ensure my knowledge is up-to-date and comprehensive, which gradually builds trust and respect. Secondly, I emphasize clear and assertive communication to convey confidence and capability. Additionally, fostering a supportive network of like-minded women and mentors provides invaluable guidance and encouragement. By persistently demonstrating my capabilities and maintaining resilience, I aim to break down these biases and pave the way for future women entrepreneurs.

How do you foresee the education immigration space evolving in India going forward? Which industry trends will have the most significant impact?

The education immigration landscape in India is on the brink of significant change. A notable trend is the heightened awareness among students and professionals about their migration choices, showcasing a shift towards more thoughtful planning. As India progresses, the emphasis is not merely on job-seeking abroad but on acquiring diverse experiences and skills.
